In the ancient harbor of Lechaion the Basilica of Lechaion was built and was dedicated to the Archbishop of Athens Leonidis, who martyred with 7 women in the middle of the 3rd century, and their bodies were found into the see, where the basilica was built. It is the most impressive basilica in Balcan, 180 meters in length, and it was excavated by the professor Dimitrios Pallas during the centuries between 1950 and 1960.
