The river of Derveni springs from the village Sarantapixo, divides Evrostini into two sides and ends up in the east side of the Derveni into the Corinthian Gulf. Locals say that it is an idyllic place in Evrostini and recommend it for walking to the nature lovers. This picturesque natural stream has lakes full of trouts, waterfalls and wooden bridges, and offers unique moments of relaxing.
It not a coincidence that visitors believe that “If there are any elves, then they live in that stream”.
