Villa of Sikelianos

Overview

In 1908, Aggelos Sikelianos and Eva Palmer were having an excursion in Korinthia and they were stunned by the beauty of Pefkias forest, so he decided to buy property by the sea in the corner of the forest and built his villa, who himself made the blueprints in 1911. The villa combines different building styles of byzantine and venetian architecture. It was the meeting point of great personalities in the beginning of 20th century and the headquarters of the conquerors during the Second World War, and then a must-see in the first tourist destination of Greece.
