The Holy Cross Monastery is located at a distance of 20 km from Corinth near Mapsos village. Holy Cross Monastery of Mapsos was founded in 1989. It is a new monastery, or rather two monasteries, of Agios Nikolaos of the Mountain and of Holy Cross. Its founder is the hieromonk f. Nephon and his female escort, which before was settled in Bethlehem foundation outside Loutraki towards Perachora. It is a magnificent and hospitable monastery making an intense charity work and they host many children in Christian camps.
