The Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth is one of the biggest museums in Greece, when it comes to the wealth and the quality of the exhibition.
The museum was built on 1930, and it has 4 rooms and two tunnels. In the hallway there is a part of mosaic of the 4th century, which depicts 2 Griffins fighting against a horse. This mosaic is one of the oldest Greek mosaic ever found.
The exhibition includes also a rare ancient Sphinx of the 6th century, in great condition.
There are also some precious ceramic exhibits of Geometric, Archaic Period and Classical Era, and a rich collection of Roman findings, statues of Emperors, surgical tools, utensils, coins.
